SYFLAT, di-electric rod is designed to provide high degree of flexibility in one axis, with reduced thickness and with excellent tensile strength & modulus performance without adding bulk. It is typically used as peripheral reinforcement in fiber optic cables for Armouring purpose when dielectric, anti-rodent, shot proof armouring are required. It is typically embedded in the jacket or stranded over cable core and the cable manufactured with it would be lower in diameter, lighter in weight and thus has a low total cable cost. Thanks to the shape flat strength members give the opportunity to have a better flexibility and better surface coverage of the Fibre Optic Tubes applying a limited number of ends.

Description

SYFLAT is manufactured using E-glass fiber with proprietary resin system. It is available in tuff coated surface, which allows easy handling. Tuff coating provides very smooth surface. It is currently available in 1 mm x 2mm and 1x 3mm dimensions, however, any other dimensions can easily be supplied on request.
